Episode 1

What can I say? Ella really made my day. Ella(playing Yang Guo) starts the drama for us as she lugges a huge refrigerator on her back. My mind can only imagine already, how ridiculous her role in this drama would be.

.

Like other dramas, it’s a clumsy girl with a suave charming rich guy. Ah, Jerry Yan(playing Yu Ping) looks nice in those laywer suits. What baffles me is that they don’t have a scene where we see his reaction towards finding out he had to take in his brother’s two kids Fei and Ting. It begins, instead, with him getting home, calling for his nanny who in turns tries to seduce him. Oh what great service! She gets fired, and as Yang Duo (played by Kelly Huang), his secretary, was told to look for a new one, we learn that there were many nannies before who were either traumatized by Fei and Ting or heartbroken by Jerry himself.

.

We then go back to Ella, who we find out is the sister of Kelly. By Kelly’s constant pressuring of earning money, we can tell that they weren’t always poor. Ella then goes find her boyfriend to celebrate his birthday, there she hears a voicemail and finds out her boyfriend was cheatin on her and courting another girl. I personally, was not surprised in that scene. Ella in reality, really doesn’t have the face of a girl, not a gentle one atleast. Her role in this movie makes her seem more of a clutz and less of a girl even more. I acutally don’t like how every movie tries to make her play the role of either mistaken for a guy or whatever. But I guess it fits her image.

.

The funniest scene must be the one where Ella and Jerry finally meets at a restaurant. Jerry orders steak and Ella makrs it down as pork chop. That was the first of many arguments between our two main characters. But what’s more amusing was afterwards, when Ella’s coworker kisses her to pretend to be a lesbian in order to shoo an admirer away. The face of Jerry and Ke Zong (played by Michael Zhang) was just epic. Ella gets fired, as expected, thanks to the pork chop. That night she got drunk and Michael shows up, pretending to be her new boyfriend to annoy her ex, and brings her home. This part already tells me how the love triangle will go.

Soon, we see Ella reminiscing and walking around her old house, and we can finally see how much wealth her and Kelly had lost. While going back home, her precious marble ( a gift left by her father) rolled into the road, as she was trying to get it, guess who almost runs into her. Cliche, right? Jerry stops his car right on time, and gets out in lawyer mode. Franctically blaming Ella for purposely trying to get hit to sue him for money. Ella retorts back saying that he’s definitely a lawyer because her sister works for a moron, cold, heartless one too.

.

Kelly on the otherhand, thought of a great idea, giving her boss the idea to hire her sister as a new nanny. When they meet, she realizes that Ella and Jerry had already met and didn’t start off well. But since Jerry thought Ella was a lesbian (from the previous scene) he bribes her for the job, because he thought she would be less complications. That was the start a new ‘relationship’.

.

Ella begins her first day as nanny, picking up the kids, then losing them, winding up ramming into the conference room where Jerrry almost got forced into a settlement with the other laywer. But thanks to Ella, Jerry used the commotion to spill a drink on the settlement papers, to delay time in order for him to find more evidence.

.

Then the good feelings finally starts coming (:
I found this episode really draggy at times, but overall, it was straight out comedy and romance. But what surprised me is that, the family factor really played a big part in this. The little kids Fei and Ting, really caught my heart. Although they were little devils, all they wanted to do was his attention, in one scene she even stood up bravely and asked “do you hate us that much?” That just broke my heart ]:
